Join Anna Maria Desipris from The Honeybee Hub (thehoneybeehub.com) for a day of beekeeping basics.

– Learn the basics to get started in keeping Honeybees. Class includes lessons on the life cycles of bees, members of the hive and equipment needed for beekeeping.
– Investigate our native bees and discuss how to build a native bee hotel to support our local pollinators.
– Topics include honeybee keeping, building native bee hotels, make infused honey, and making pollinator seed balls.

Who: Ages 14 and up

When: June 9 – 10am – 12pm

Where: Big Oak Canyon (location address will be emailed upon enrollment or upon inquiry.)

Fee: Sliding scale $15-25 per person

Tea will be served. Participants need to bring a journal and a mug.

Forms and payment needs to be received at least one week prior to class. Your registration is complete only when we have received Payment and Forms in our office. Registration is due at least one week in advance of class. Late registration may be accepted if space is available with an additional fee of $25 up to 2 business days before class.
