Awaken Your Roots 20th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser was an unforgettable day filled with nature connection, wellness, community, and heartfelt gratitude. From the moment guests arrived, the land was alive with excitement and reverence.
We began with a moving Land Blessing led by Adelia Sandoval, bringing everyone together in the spirit of respect and connection to the land. Then the day unfolded into a beautiful blend of offerings – wellness and nature activities inviting guests to slow down, reflect, and reconnect. From yoga, meditation, and massage, to Reiki, archery, and guided walks, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We feasted on a delicious lunch serenaded by the gentle sounds of hand-carved branch flutes by Jon Sherman.
Board President, Michelle Spieker, and Founding Director, Jodi Levine, gave their reflections on 20 Years of Earthroots, followed by a presentation of The Roots Award – honoring Rebecca & George Kibby from South Coast Farms for their support through the first two decades of Earthroots.
Throughout the afternoon, guests wandered between activities and explored our silent auction, bidding on one-of-a-kind items and experiences donated by our generous community – all to support Earthroots’ nature connection programs, restoration and maintenance at Big Oak Canyon, and natural building advocacy.
We closed the day with gratitude and a closing circle, sending everyone home with full hearts and Earthroots tote bags in hand. Thank you to all who attended, contributed, and celebrated with us. Your presence and support ensure that Earthroots will continue to thrive for the next 20 years and beyond!
