Earthroots has acquired Big Oak Canyon! There are many people who have made this dream come true. Thank you all very much.
“To be able to host programs on our own property is a dream come true. Tending land that will be nurtured and cared for as our own for generations to come will continue to bring deep educational impact to our region.”
– Jodi Levine, Earthroots’ Founding Director
“We love Big Oak Canyon. The creek is my favorite place to explore.”
-Forest Kindergarten Family
The Site: This 39-acre property borders Cleveland National Forest, which opens to 424,000 acres of hiking trails and natural resources. The property is rugged and is comprised of a variety of native ecosystems. It also has three pre-developed graded terraces for staging our nature connection activities. Springwater flows year-round on-site and the property accesses a creek! Mature fruit trees are growing in an established orchard.
To complete the purchase, Earthroots has raised $130,000, with $30,000 still due. We appreciate any assistance you can give us to reach this goal.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Naming opportunities are available for donations of $5000 and greater.
Your gift makes a difference. Please contribute now to provide scholarships, fund the preservation of 39-acre Big Oak Canyon and get more children outdoors to experience a classroom without walls.
Thank you.
