Kelly was born and raised in Southern California. After years in the legal field, she decided to be a stay-at-home mom to her two daughters, volunteering at their school and in their Girl Scout troops. She saw how content her children became when out in nature and knows that all children should have that opportunity to experience and flourish in the natural world. As an adult, she started hiking in our local canyons and fell in love with the flora and fauna. She started researching the plants and animals she would come across and decided to replicate the local landscape in her own yard. She has transformed several yards and recently had hers certified as a National Wildlife Habitat. Kelly is happiest being outside with her family, friends and dogs, whether it’s at the beach, the mountains, the canyons or her own backyard.
