Monica Martinez

Instructor
Homeschool Field Class | Eco-Literacy

Monica was born and raised in Ecuador until the age of nine. She immigrated with her family to California in 1995 and has lived in a few different cities across Orange County. She has always been inspired by children and their free spirit and curiosity. She interned and worked at the Children’s Center located on the CSU Fullerton campus for one year, graduating in 2013 with a BS degree in Human Services. In the last few years, motherhood has been her priority, navigating the connection between unwavering love and genuine chaos. It is an honor for her to walk alongside her two children, Aubrey and Donovan. Every day, they learn much from one another and the community around them. This summer marks her children’s 7th year at Journey School, where they have the privilege to explore unique outdoor experiences and amazing ecological education through Earthroots’ Eco-Literacy program
