Tylár spent most of her early childhood living off the grid with her grandparents. Without running water or electricity she grew up living with a water tower, generator, wood fire stove, and kerosene lamps. They had a garden, apple orchard, and blackberry patches. Her connection to nature is a part of her, and has only grown throughout her life.
Tylár experiences a deep yearning when she’s not in nature enough. She is game for any outdoor activity, anywhere, anytime. As the volunteer coordinator, Tylár says that Earthroots inspires her to be in nature even more, and makes her want to inspire others to do the same. Her other loves include her 6-year-old son, cooking, baking, photography and being with family and friends.
