Yulianna grew up running between the tomato and rice fields on her family farm in Cali, Columbia. Her favorite pastime was to ride her horse in the nearby mountains. During her studies, her love of nature led her to take an environmental economics class where she learned to model and quantify the environmental impact of carbon footprints.
Today this mother of three enjoys cooking, hiking, going to the beach, and helping children connect to nature and create a consciousness of the importance of caring for our environment. She is grateful for her experience as a kindergarten teacher and tutor working with homeschooling families. As an Earthroots instructor Yulianna is happy to be able to build community in an organization with a long-term vision for the environment.
